User agreement

This agreement covers your use of Basket & Burner, a pantry and recipe app (web and Android) run by the operator of this instance.

1. What Basket & Burner is

Basket & Burner helps you track groceries, match recipes to what you already have, keep a shopping list, and check products against diet rules you set. It is provided as-is for household use.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for the email and password you use, and for activity on your account. Do not share your login. If you lose access, the operator of this instance may reset the password at your request.

Creating an account means you accept this agreement and the Privacy statement.

3. Your content

You own the pantry items, lists, preferences, and notes you enter. You grant the operator a licence only to store and process that data so the app can work for you (inventory, recipes, shopping list, food checker).

Do not enter data you do not have the right to store.

4. Third-party services

Basket & Burner may call services you or the operator enable, including Open Food Facts (barcode lookup), Spoonacular or other recipe sources, and sites you add under Preferences. Those services have their own terms. Basket & Burner does not send your shopping list to Instacart, Uber Eats, or Amazon Fresh; copy, share, and export are the supported ways to take a list elsewhere.

5. Acceptable use

Do not try to break the app, scrape other users’ data, or use Basket & Burner to harm anyone. The operator may suspend an account that abuses the service.

6. No warranty

Basket & Burner is provided without warranty. Recipe matches, nutrition filters, and barcode lookups can be wrong. Check labels if you have allergies. The operator is not liable for spoiled food, missed diets, or shopping decisions.

7. Changes

The operator may update this agreement. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
